Set in the magnificent Southern Alps of New Zealand, Queenstown began as a goldmining camp in the 1860s and is now a sophisticated holiday resort. Dwarfed by the surrounding mountains with amazing views from everywhere, Queenstown is situated on the shores of Lake Wakatipu, has a compact downtown area and is a buzz with more than 160 bars and cafes. Whatever the season, Queenstown has all that is required to inspire, excite and amaze the most seasoned traveller.

Situated just 5 minutes drive from the hub of Queenstown The Canyons Lodge will satisfy the most discerning guest with its exclusive accommodation, seclusion, premier location and spectacular river canyon and mountain views. 

It has a warm inviting spacious rooms with French doors that capture the classic view from every room.  When hired as a holiday home Guests can enhoy the Lounge highlight being a large open Schist Fireplace - nothing quite beats an open fire roaring in winter.

Architecturally designed, the lodge accommodates up to four hosted B&B guests and if hired as a holiday home up to 8 adults.

When hired as  a holiday home guests have exculsive use of the large modern family size kitchen, ideal for entertaining. Steps lead down to the dining room and lounge which open onto expansive timber decking, perfect for barbeques and hot summer days. Crafted wood furniture, scatter rugs and art pieces compliment the interior. A leather lounge suite set before a raised schist log fire creates the scene for intimate evenings.

For hosted B&B guests and holiday home guests the outdoor spa pool is positioned for privacy and to take full advantage of the view and starry skies. Often a welcome relief after a day of activities and offers a memorable experience if you are brave enough to try it while it is snowing outside.

Other features include central heating, TV, surround sound system, wireless broadband internet and use of the large outside deck with barbeque and ample car parking.

The Lodge is perfectly positioned with Coronet Peak Ski Field, Gibbston Valley Wineries, Arrowtown, Millbrook and The Hills golf courses  only 20 minutes away. The Remarkables and Cardrona Ski Fields are less than an hour away. For heli-skiing, heli-sightseeing tours to Fiordland, Milford and Doubtful Sounds and hunting excursions the lodge offers direct helicopter access. Milford Sound is only 30minutes Helicopter flight from Queenstown.
